Turning Trip Planning Into Cloning Someone Else's Great Itinerary

Voya replaces the blank page with real, day-by-day itineraries other travelers have already published. Clone one, make it yours, and publish your own for others to follow.

Executive Summary

Most trip planning starts one of two ways: a blank page, or a generic "top 10 things to do" list that reads the same for every city. Neither one tells you what a real day of the trip actually looks like.

The problem: travelers plan from scratch or from recommendation lists that don't reflect a real, workable day-by-day route, and sharing a plan with friends usually means a messy doc or a scattered group chat.

What we built: Voya, a social travel app where people discover real itineraries other travelers have published, clone any trip into their own drafts, customize it for their own dates and style, and publish it for others to clone in turn.

The result: "no spreadsheets required," delivered through a discover feed, a clone-and-customize workflow, and a day-by-day builder that turns planning into adapting, not building from zero.

Devscape Digital served as design and engineering partner on Voya. Client identity withheld at the client's request.

Who This Is For

Built for travelers who'd rather adapt a real trip than build one from a blank page.

INDEPENDENT TRAVELERS TRIP-SHARING WITH FRIENDS CREATOR-MINDED TRAVELERS

The Problem

Open any trip-planning app or blog and the same pattern shows up: generic advice, no real day-by-day structure, and nothing you can actually reuse.

  • Planning usually starts from a blank page or a list of attractions with no real order or flow.
  • "Top 10" recommendation lists don't tell you what a workable day actually looks like.
  • There's no easy way to take a friend's, or a stranger's, proven itinerary and make it your own.
  • Sharing a trip plan with travel companions usually means a spreadsheet, a doc, or a scattered thread.

None of this is a lack of travel inspiration. It's a lack of a real, reusable starting point.

Before and After

Blank-Page Planning
Twenty browser tabs of blog posts and "top 10" lists
A spreadsheet nobody else wants to open
No sense of what a real day actually looks like
Plan shared as a messy doc link

Planning from scratch means guessing at a route nobody's actually tested.

Core Features

Built around real itineraries as the unit of planning, not attractions or checklists.

02 · Day-by-Day Builder & Publish

Build in days, not in bullet points

Every itinerary is organized day by day, with places, maps, cover photos, and notes. Publishing turns it into something the next traveler can clone and follow.

  • Places, maps, cover photos, and notes per day
  • Publish & share via a single link
  • Follow creators to see their newest published trips

How It Works

01 · DISCOVER

Browse real itineraries

Search the discover feed by destination for trips real travelers have published.

02 · CLONE

Save it to your drafts

One tap copies the full itinerary, days, places, and notes, into your own draft.

03 · CUSTOMIZE

Make it fit your trip

Adjust dates, swap stops, and add your own notes for each day.

04 · PUBLISH

Share it forward

Publish with a link, and the next traveler can open, follow, and clone it too.

Why It Matters

  • Planning starts from something real and workable, not a blank page.
  • Sharing a trip with friends means a link they can open and clone, not a spreadsheet.
  • Travelers who publish routes become creators others follow, and real testimonials from cloners already appear on the app's landing page.
